Success Zone Educational Leadership
This landmark leadership development opportunity aims to equip the senior leadership team with the social and organisational skills to better manage the complex task of leading schools. Teachers and school leaders engage in thousands of social decisions and engagements on a daily basis, yet many school improvement processes ignore the development of high level social, communication and group management skills.
This program is an in-situ program – the senior leadership team and individuals experience the program in the context of the school setting. Recent neuroscience research indicates that learning new skills where (‘geographically’) the learning needs to be applied is a critical aspect of skills development, calling into strong question the true effectiveness of off-site professional development and leadership retreats.
Program design features:
- Framed on ten years of leadership and education research by Group 8 Education, and on leading coaching practice
- Comprises team and individual development ‘modules’ that integrate feedback, coaching, mentoring and training
- Builds sustainable in-situ team individual and development beyond the program
- Provides a strategic and skills-based framework for engineering any change in a school
- Based on contemporary educational and social neuroscience research around learning
- Provides collaboration opportunities to other leadership teams
- Bespoke school program design – implement aspects of the program that best suit your school leadership needs
Program Outcomes
The Success Zone Educational Leadership program will equip individuals and senior leadership teams to
- Communicate more effectively, better aligning intent and impact
- Build and better develop ‘calm under pressure’ skills
- More effectively engage all team members and manage the limited time available during meetings
- Create a learning and engagement culture across the school, led by the senior leadership team
- Apply leading coaching skills, neuroscience research and leadership habits more effectively and consistently
